Kony 2012

Although I have my thoughts and doubts Kony, this film was about trying to do everything possible in order to capture this monster whom is capturing children and forcing them to attend the rebel army. Going to our political leaders and trying to get our military to be non combatant but try to train Uganda's army for capturing Joseph Kony.

The filmaker made the film to make awareness of what is going on in another country. For people to unite and spread the news. The goal is to have Kony captured by the end of the year 2012. He believes this will not happen unless people know about it and complain to their leaders to do something about it.

My personal opinion: After hearing the filmaker was caught being nude in public, and heard about the money actually going to him personally more than the issue, and heard Kony might have been possibly dead for the last 6 years, I have my personal doubts about this film. However, the internet is a great way for people to become aware about something. Te more posts seen, the more people are going to realize what is actually happening, in my opinion.

In this case, there is nothing wrong about making a person infamous. When there is an issue and something has to be done, sometimes making the cause of the issue more known can really be a useful tool in halting the problem.

Raising awareness is just getting people to raise their eyebrow about something. A call to action is getting people to now only be raised with awareness but to be challenged to do something abou tit.

A call to action: Throwing president Obama out of office. He is turning this Free-Market capitalist society into a socialist nation, which will not create the best prosperity, in my opinion. People should care about this issue because their country is at stake. Something has to be done in order to have less regulations for small businesses to be raised, and actually create a balanced budget for the country. The democratic party has done nothing to create a balanced budget bill. The United States senate hasn't passed one in over 1,000 days. And Obama's budget was rejected by a 414-0 vote in the House of Representatives.

Showing the government not being business friendly. Being too affiliated in peoples lives and not letting them produce revenue freely. Showing the struggling Americans trying to work hard for success but not being able to produce anything because of this large, controlling government.

Portriat Photographers

This photo reminds me of old fashion business. Very intense and ready to make some cold hard cash. I would of moved the leg to another position, it seems to get in the way.
Once again we see this mysterious side. I love the darkness on the left side of the face.
Photographing people is trying to capture their best. This picture focuses more towards the bad. However this picture shows that all humans have a fault.
The deformed hand brings some depressing drama into the photograph. I think I would have moved her body towards the camera to bring out more emotions.
The lenses of the glases brings out the eyes, wich I love. This picture has a story of a worried man. I love the juxtaposition of the black sort of overcoming the sides of the picture.

Irving Penn was born June 16,1916 and died October 7, 2006. He studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art. It seems that his photography is usually black and white and like to capture the mysterious side in people. He photographs different types of people all ages. He usually centers the body in the middle and the face towards the sides. However, there are pictures that are purely centered.
