Must Be Converging lines

I resized this image to be smaller by using free transform. I then used tonal levels to change the brightness so you could see the clouds more in depth as well as the bridge, and to make the grass look greener.

Week 3 summary

So far we have been talking about the aperture priority of a DSLR and Auto. Aperture priority allows you to adjust the aperture while the camera adjust shutter.

Week 3-Wednesday

  • No photo should be the center of the eye.
  • "Rule of Thirds": Grid that is 3 by 3 (9 total), each box has a picture in itself.
  • Photography captures; painting interpretation.
  • Foreground: Closest part of picture, Middle ground: Middle part of picture, background: furthest part of picture
  • Tonal: distinction of colors
  • Juxtaposition: Taking 2 elements that are different that can be compared.
  • Geometric shapes: basic; Organic: shapes contained in nature (free formed)
  • Aperture: Control amount of life permitted through the center of camera
  • Higher aperture, the smaller the opening. The lower aperture, the higher opening.
  • Shutter speed controls length of time that light gets through

Week 2-What I learned

We have talked about learning how to articulate so pictures do not look choppy. How to set up blogs and reader and goole docs. About taking pictures we learned about different types of shots: Extreme shot, medium, close up, High Angle, Low angle.

Week going by fast! I joined Advance Placement calculus, I'm really excited! Stressed out about senior project.
